Hello Friends,
So today my blog is slight different one. Writing so much about corruption has no limit and still there are reports of scams are coming from different arena. But let’s take slight break from corruption & scams and have some fun. Every one has friends. The list of friends may depend upon the nature and behavior of the persons. It may limit to a few or may extend to a long one having hundred or more. Here the matter is not how long the list is but the way how they become friends. I have tried to categorize the friends into different groups. And in this process, the following list has come into existence. Read the article and enjoy it.
1. CHILDHOOD FRIENDS - This category of friends is also called "langotia yaar". When we are child and do not go to school yet, while playing in the streets some of the children of the street and neighborhood become our friends and this friendship is quite long. In the coming years of life, when we come home from college or from work we feel happy to meet them. Meeting with these friends and sitting in the street late nights while the mother calling for dinner gives a lot of enjoyment.
2. SCHOOL FRIENDS - The next category of friends we come across is school friends. This is the progress of our making friends. Now the friendship has gain some maturity but not enough to be matured. This friendship adds some more names to our list of friendship. We play with them during school hours and on holidays. We get together for doing home works and even celebrate festivals. This list of friends continuously changes during our school life. Even you may find some of your childhood friends in this list too.
3. COLLEGE FRIENDS - Just as we have school friends, so we have college friends. And we get these friends in our college life. Here, I can say, the relation is more intimate as this relationship has been developed because of maturity. At this stage, if the friend is from opposite sex, the friendship may change into love and might be in life partnership.
4. WORKING FRIENDS - The friends you come in contact during your profession or work, according to me, can be called as working friends or colleagues. Here the friendship need no age bar. The friends may belong to different age group, ranging from the age of our father to younger having age 3 to 5 years less. But here too the intimation does not bother about the age. The only thing that bothers is the boss - worker relation. It is the only relation, I think, that can not be changed into friendship.
5. WALKING FRIENDS - Have you not heard of that category! If you go for morning walk, then you can be aware of that category. Yes...! You are right. The persons that become our friends while doing morning or evening walk are called walking friends. Some of these friends may be from above categories that may become more intimate than the usual fields of their meeting. Some new persons too come close to us and in the later part of our life become very intimate. The relationship starts from daily watching them doing their usual exercises and slowly the watching changes to saying 'Hello' and ultimately to a friendship.
6. PEN FRIENDS - This category of friends has become obsolete these days because of faster means of communication. The pen friends are those who come in contact through means of letters. Before coming of telephone, mobile and internet; it has its golden era too. Writing letters to the friends and waiting for their reply was too much interesting. And if the letter communication was in between two lovers, it was ROMANTIC too. How were they able to wait for such a long time! It is beyond my imagination.
7. NET FRIENDS - In the modern era, it is a newer kind of friendship. And I think, it has taken the place of 'Pen Friend'. Today the internet has become an unavoidable thing and the persons who use internet have inevitably 'net friends'. These friends are from far countries just chatting on the net for long hours without any intimacy. It is a friendship that is for time pass only.
8. LOVING FRIENDS - Last but not the least, everyone looks for loving friends through these friendships. And loving friends are those who make our life simpler, easier and memorable. The loving friends may be from any one or more of the above categories.
So friends, I have tried my best to categorize friendship but I think it is not possible to categorize true friends into any group. The friends do not fit any relation but is a RELATION in itself. They are as loving as our relatives but are not our relatives. All of you have friends and indeed true friends too. If you still do not have true friends, just look for them and value them because when our relatives leave us then it is the true friend that helps us. It has rightly been said "A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED"
